- Rabies Clinic: THANK YOU to everyone who came out to support the Annual Rabies Clinic. Over 500 pets were vaccinated to prevent contracting the Rabies Virus. We appreciate the following students for helping work the event: Gracey Baxter, Chloe Bradford, Bethany Burden, Prom’ouz Goodman, Timothy Lazlo, Claire Moon, Lydia Moon, Allie Stephens and Samantha Walsky.

May 13 Small Ruminant Parasite Workshop Join us on May 13th from 1:00-5:00pm at Emmanuel University's Agriculture Center for our Small Ruminant Parasite Workshop! Shanna Reynolds, Oglethorpe County ANR Agent, will be training all participants in FAMACHA scoring and fecal sample analysis. All participants will leave the course with FAMACHA certification. Throughout the workshop, we will be highlighting proper parasite management in your small ruminant herds! Registration is $35 per participant. You can register by clicking here or by calling our office at 706-376-3134. Your spot is not reserved until payment at the Hart County Extension Office is made. We hope you will join us in May to learn all about parasite management!

May 22 ServSafe Manager Certification Training & Exam- Morgan County Extension Join us on Thursday, May 22nd at the Morgan County Extension Office for a one-day ServSafe® Manager Certification course and Exam. Georgia Cooperative Extension provides the nationally recognized and accredited ServSafe® training for foodservice managers from the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF). Upon successful completion of the ServSafe® examination, the ServSafe® Food Protection Manager certificate will be issued by the NRAEF and is valid for five years.
